Super Mom or Super Cruel Mom???

The mother of the 12 years old girl pictured above,  ReShonda Tate Billingsley, a highly-successful author of 25 books punished her daughter for posing with a bottle of vodka with a caption 'wish i could drink this vodka' and uploading it on a social site.
The mother made her child hold up that sign and uploaded it on Instagram and Facebook to publicly humiliate the daughter. The picture had 10,000 shares after just a few hours of it being uploaded. So what do you think? Did the mother go too far? will this stop the girl from eventually drinking vodka?  you can see from the pic that the girl was crying even.
